diala
is a multi-talented artist.. she paints, she writes.. and she makes her
own jewlery.
i'm waiting for her paintings to be converted digitaly to add them to
this page.. but for now i will present the book she wrote recently
"memories engraved in stone.. palestinian urban mansions",
which is an amazing piece of literature in which diala -through the
center of architectural conservation "riwaq"- gave us an
enchanting journey through the life of buildings and houses that
represent the architectural heritage of palestine.. and the stories of
the people who lived in them and gave them their special spirit.. who
gave them life.
"Almost
deserted now, the house is on pause and everything remains in the state
it was left in. The original furniture tells of cosy times spent here.
Black and white photographs decorate the wall, classical wooden and
glass bookcases overflow with books, attractive chandeliers hang down
from the ceilings..."

of diala's description of the "alami house" in jericho
